The Lifestyle Dezine Manifesto
Rewiring the way we think about our minds and bodies, our place in this world. Shining a new light on our relationship to health, food and fitness. Learning to keep it simple. Remembering what our cells already know. We are what we think, let us be what we know – Light and Love. Drink WATER. EAT. Simply eat. Eat Slowly. Cook with Love. Avoid boxes and cans. Eat raw when possible, colorful vegetables, especially Green, eat wild fish and clean meat, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support survival not hibernation. Things are sculpted on the mat, revealed in the kitchen. Discover freedom in natural movements: jumping, crawling, squatting, pushing, pulling, lifting, throwing, climbing, bike, sprint, swim, row, etc. – hard and fast. Find the right yoga. Less is more. Sit back. Meditate. Breathe. Read. Be grateful. What we speak matters, by honoring your words, you are honored. Establish a PRACTICE. Mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Patience. Travel. Go to the sea. Go to the mountains. Write letters on paper. Tell them everything you want to tell them. Change is good. Keep the work short and intense. Pray. Ask Questions. Unplug, disconnect… Listen to the sounds between sounds. Wait. Stand still. The world will still be here when you return. Give your self at least 10 minutes of self love every day – you deserve it. Go to sleep early. Wake up early. Forgive. Be generous with all things, yourself included and the world will return it ten-fold. Love – fall in it, stand in it, walk away from it, do it all over again until it starts to make sense. Do what feels right. Keep learning. Keep playing. Keep falling. Keep standing. Eat pie and donuts if you must. Smile. Frown. Get Silly. Get mad. BALANCE. Meet yourself where you’re at. Discover what Freedom is to you. You cannot be a who without your what. More standing less dancing. DANCE often, alone, with loved ones and strangers. Forward motion. Always do what is right. Forgive yourself if you don’t.
… and never forget: That YOU matter. You make a difference. You are so unique. 7 billion people and no one will ever be YOU. Your fingerprint is yours alone.
