You are the product, not the Internet. It uses you more than you use it. “If it’s free, you are the product…” and you are often the product. You are being bought and sold, you are being brainwashed and used and steered and herded, like cattle. You are not grass fed and free range, you are in a slaughterhouse within an advertising agency with a red dot on your head and a bullseye on your back, you are weighed and measured and bought and sold and your attention is the sole purpose of someone’s budget. You are told that the most recent should be seen first, that the most recent matters most, that if it isn’t on google and doesn’t pop up on that first page it isn’t worth reading. You are told that popular is best. You are told a lot of things. What you might believe as true is the nightmare.
It gives you what you want but not what you need.
The internet is not your friend.
But there is still hope.
