Tell Others Your Great Good Story
“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.” – Psalms 139:13-14
The most effective way to let other people know about the great things that can and do exist in their lives is to tell them the story of what life and being authentic, and learning, and loving has done in your life. That is what makes a difference.
Scripture says, “You will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere”.
When I hear the word “witness,” I think of a courtroom. It’s a perfect picture of what life is asking us to do to make a difference in the world.
Not the attorney, arguing the case; life doesn’t tell us to be the judge, judging other people. Life asks us to be the witnesses.
What does a witness do? A witness just says, “Here’s what I’ve seen. Here’s what I heard. Here’s what I know.” A witness just tells other people the story of what truth, Grace, and honesty have done in their life.
All great art, all great stories are born of this expression; of conveying what we’ve witnessed.
Friends don’t keep good news from other friends. You tell them the good news of what life has done for you so that it can make an eternal difference in their lives.
Are you unsure how to get started? Here’s a simple action step: Write out your story, paint it, sing it, dance it and share it, with even one person to begin with.
Start sharing with the people that are close to you so you can get some practice. Then, trust me, life will give you the opportunity to share your story with someone who needs to hear and the Good News.
You will be the expression of the good.
Life needs more good; and it will do anything to support that witness.
Peace and Blessings
