“A bomb with a long fuse can be lit years before it explodes, but the day when the detonation occurs, the harm is considerable.” – Alejandro Jodorowsky
Just because you’ve always been one thing, just because it’s always been one way, doesn’t mean you have to play that same part again, today, tomorrow, over and over. Life is fluid, always has been, constantly in motion; it’s our same old stories about “who we are”, “what we are”, and “how it is” that make life stagnant. Fluidity is life, stagnancy is death. Let’s save ourselves, let’s cut our own fuse before it’s too late.
Life belongs to us, to create as we go along. We are consistently dreaming our life through these stories that we call reality. Through constant stories, some said aloud, many kept dormant and hidden, each person creates his own flexible reality. These stories shape this dream of ours into something happy, nightmarish, monotone or passionate. We’re free to change this dream on a moment to moment basis.
It’s not about forgetting or destroying, it’s about transforming the stories, into wisdom, guides and teachers. We learn from them by having the courage to let go of the trauma, hurt and stories about ourselves that we think keep us safe. We dare to be brave and face even the most horrid monsters in our stories, we become our own healers. Our stores become medicine and magic; we take back our lives.
Take back your life.
