Stop Feeding On Instagram

I repeat, Stop Feeding On Instagram.

No one takes bad pictures on Instagram. No one shows you what they don’t want you to see. No one is giving you their demons, the things they’re afraid of, worried about, have doubts of, just like us.

When scrolling through our feeds we are comparing ourselves to peoples to best efforts. Best moments. best selves. The ones their willing to share.

We are judging ourselves, our moments, our lives best on their best moments.

They’re rarely photographing the things that are tough, the things that test them, that they have to fight to overcome.

No one is photographing their rent check, their electricity bill, their car insurance, their medical bill.

So if you’re scrolling through Instagram or Facebook or twitter, wondering why not me, why aren’t I there, why didn’t I get that job, why am I not at the beach; whatever feed you’re on, stop feeding on it.

Only allow yourself to be grateful for them or else/ anything else isn’t serving you. Cut it off if you can’t handle it. Let it go. Or be grateful for what you have and what they have.

This is your journey. Only yours. No one else. You can’t be them and they can’t be you.

Peace and Blessings
