Brag About What You DON'T Know

Everyone Talks About What They Know, We’ll Brag About What We DON’T Know

If you’re new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting! It takes a person who is supremely confident to talk about the things they don’t know. What if on a first date instead of saying all the things you were good at and how special you were in unique you were you were not in shared what you didn’t know, what you were afraid of, wouldn’t that build more trust? If you’re willing to share what’s wrong, then there must be an awful lot that’s right. I need confidence to be humble, front run your weaknesses. Tell me what you don’t know. What you don’t …

In Every Challenging Situation You Have 4 Options

In Every Challenging Situation You Have 4 Options

What you choose is up to you. There is no right or wrong, just choices. What you choose depends on your level of commitment. What you choose reveals the worth of the thing itself. Exit: Leave your country, leave your spouse, leave your job, get up and go. Neglect: Do as little as possible, try to go unnoticed, try and forget what’s happening, try and fill up your life with side hobbies and addictions that allow you to forget. Persist: See what’s happening and persist on. Believe in things changing, believe in a new tomorrow, believe that things will get better. Voice: Voice your concerns. Speak up and out against …

The Stories We Tell Ourselves Are Just Like Lenses Of A Camera

The Stories We Tell Ourselves Are Just Like Lenses Of A Camera

A scene with 105mm lens looks different than it does with a 35mm lens, same scene, just different. There is no need to argue over which one is more true, both are true, they are merely different levels of magnification. It is in this way we magnify the stories of the moments in our lives. We zoom in on the pain and the discomfort and we let all the invisible good, all the blessings that are constantly here fall away to the background. What am I zooming in on? What is in soft focus? What is in sharp focus? We get to choose the lens in which we use to …

NEGATIVE TAPES

NEGATIVE TAPES

Are the stories we have on repeat That we run to (often when we are afraid or challenged) Are the stories we have on repeat- which are not reflecting truths. Once the tapes are erased. Now I can love myself consciously. Now I can have my own thoughts. It is appropriate for me to love myself unconditionally. It is appropriate for me to love myself unconditionally. It is appropriate for me to love myself unconditionally. It is appropriate for me to love myself unconditionally. It is appropriate for me to love myself unconditionally. It is appropriate for me to love myself unconditionally.   If you find joy and value in what I do and …

John and Mary

John and Mary

Imagine my right arm is Mary, and my left is John. Only Mary and John don’t know they’re one body, they think they’re separate. One day John gashes himself. Mary looks at all the blood dripping and says, “Yuck, get that mess away from me.” Or she thinks: I’m not a doctor, if I try to help John I’ll get dirty, or I’ll get sued. What happens? John dies, Mary dies, I die. But one day Mary and John go through an epiphany, or a great enlightenment experience, and they realize they’re one body, they’re Me. So now when John gets hurt, Mary doesn’t even think about it. She goes to …

If Everyone Around You Is Doing Well - That's a Good Thing

If Everyone Around You Is Doing Well – That’s a Good Thing

It means you are in good company. What’s that saying, “Judge a man by all the people around him, the ones he spends time with most.” “but what about me? Where are my riches, where is my break?” I get it, I do. But you must be diligent in erasing that old unnecessary tape that plays on repeat. That tape is a lie, their success is your success. if you stay diligent, if you keep going. Just look at those around you. In my own life, everyone I know is doing really well. Really well. Making money. Learning. Growing. Dreams coming true. Loving. Falling in love. Being in love. Making life …

I Stay Away From Anything Too Human

I Stay Away From Anything Too Human

I quickly realized easy on in life that all of what I loved in this life was way beyond human. That the things I wanted to feel and comprehend and be inside of were the things beyond my comprehension, the things I didn’t know, the things beyond the horizon, beyond my knowing, the invisible stuff makes life richer and gives me life beyond life and a constant awareness of the death of all things; constantly killing what I think I know and giving birth to what I know I know.  So, to this day, I insist and know, that I am not concerned with the human. Will you join me?   If you find joy …

Don't compare your practice reel to their highlight reel.

Don’t compare your practice reel to their highlight reel.

That’s just dumb… ESPN has crafted a 16 billion dollar business by taking an hour and a half- to 2 hours of game footage and condensing it to as little as 30 seconds. Just the highlights. Just the good stuff. The ooohh’s and the aaahhh’s.  Instagram has done this as well; except we’re the editors, we’re the ones condensing hours and days and months of footage and practice time and hard work and effort and the boring stuff and  the no’s and the lost moments and turning it into one or two images we choose to share.  The problem is most people don’t realize this. You don’t realize that when You’re going through your feed looking …

We Need To Turn Off Our Devices

We Need To Turn Off Our Devices

And we must close our eyes. When the screens in front of us go blank, we have a better chance to become aware of another screen, a screen “behind our eyes,” the screen of the mind. Then, if we sit quietly, watching the breath or reciting a holy ones or lovers name, that inner screen will empty out until it appears formless and radiant. And once we make contact with this bright, empty mind, our craving for fresh screens comes to a stop. We enter a state, where we have nothing to achieve and nowhere left to go.  Eventually you might or might not return to the phone, when this occurs, …
