We’ve heard it before, “Want to know a man/woman, see who he hangs out with most.” “Judge a man by all the people around him, the ones he spends time with most.”
At this moment, everyone I know is doing really well. Like, really well. Making money. Learning. Growing. Dreams coming true. Loving. Falling in love. Being in love. Making life and promises and commitments and having fun.
This has the potential to be a very dangerous thing. To feed on my ego, to prey on my weaknesses and fear and jealousy; “why them and not me?”
Or, I can celebrate it, because they are the people around me. I can see it as a good thing. It means, I’m in it. No coincidences; I’m on the come up with these people who are amazing and talented and smart and driven and kind and wise.
They are around me and I am with them, together we rise.
