I’ve got to relax. I’ve got to quit trying to do it myself. I need to let go and let God be God.
Every lifeguard knows you can’t save people as long as they are trying to save themselves. If somebody is drowning and flailing around in panic, a lifeguard knows to just stay back for a few seconds and wait until that person gives up. Because if you try to save others while they’re trying to save themselves, they will pull you under, too… When they finally give up, they relax; you put your arm around them and just swim back to shore. It’s really quite easy.
This is what life is trying to do for us. We need to let go, stop fighting, stop struggling and let ourselves be held, supported, and taken to the ther side… I don’t know – Die to be reborn…
Speak, I am listening. Take hold, I am ready. Give, I am available.
Galilee is a lake full of life because it takes in water but also gives it out. In contrast, nothing lives in the Dead Sea because, with no outflow, the lake has stagnated – Not, who’s gonna meet my needs? But whose needs can I meet? … Let life support me and I can support and be there for others. Now we’re really living!
No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what Life has prepared for you. For we are a masterpiece. With different gifts for doing certain things well. So if you’ve been given the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as you’ve been given. If you’ve been given the gift to heal, heal with all you got. If you’ve been given a smile, let that baby loose with no strings attached!
