It’s tough to get to involved in the search for ultimate meaning in a world where it’s hotter every year, crazy people carry guns, a reality TV stars the new American president, and students pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for a college degree.
What do I do? Initiate a revolution, go on retreat, or just drink, get distracted and try and get laid?
What do I do? Timothy Leary would say, I need to turn on, tune in, and drop out.
Drop out of the headlines and stories of what is, and attune to what is; what really is.
I don’t know all, but I know I play a part in it all.
I know that God is a word for understanding something beyond anything I can actually comprehend or imagine. God, in short, (in my opinion) is each and everything in the whole universe. God became human so that humans may become Gods.
This is what we find we stop doing and start being. This is the great freedom of just being yourself. The peace of dropping out and tuning in.
Learning, knowing and receiving medicine from each and every thing that simply is there, just as it is. Even flaws, even troubles, accepting it and I as I am, as life accepts me just as I am.
The light in me always shines, even on my darkest of days. It ain’t out until it’s out and some will argue it’s never out (even the body is out).
I invite you to accept the concrete reality that we are as we find ourselves. Accept that, and you may realize that you are just as you are. Always will be as you are. With this, there is nothing else I could ever want. There is nothing else I could ever need. There is nothing else I could ever be.
If you find joy and value in what I do and share, please consider supporting with a recurring or one time donation of your choosing, between a cup of coffee and some Trader Joe's snacks. Donate here.
