Hearts don’t break
Or else we would have been done a long time ago.
Remember that your heart is not broken, it’s just being dragged through a hedge.
Days can seem long, really long. But trust me, its the same 24 hours as yesterday and the day before that. The same 24 hours when everything was going great (its still great, just different).
Remember who you are, no matter what – a relationship (friends, family, lovers) doesn’t alter who YOU are.
Remember that the true relationship, the time tested ones still love you, nothing has changed.
Remember that in ten years time he/she will think of you and wonder what it would be like to still be with you.
Remember that you will meet someone who loves you with every inch of their heart, body and soul, they will never hurt you.
Remember that you deserve time to yourself.
Use this as motivation to focus on yourself.
Paint, hang out, make something, explore, visit little places nearby you’ve always wanted to go to, learn thyself, fall passionately in love with a good book, watch happy movies and laugh, watch sad movies and cry – sob, scream, let your emotions out, start a journal, close your eyes, speak to God, speak to yourself, cook, draw, write, do yoga, take up boxing, learn something.
Let yourself mourn, be sad and upset. Then, realize that life moves on. The past cannot be changed. What’s happened has happened. It will make you stronger. There’s no point anymore in letting the past hurt you.
Press play. Live in the now and know your heart is not broken.
Peace and Blessings.
