Fight With Your Lover
There’s this story about a tribe of fierce – the fiercest roman warriors – The Sacred Band of Thebes – They were lovers – hand picked… 150 pairs of male lovers which formed this elite force…
And because of this, they fought for each other with everything they had.
These strong emotional bonds resulting from relationships.
Plato admired it, “He would prefer to die many deaths to save the one he loves… No man is such a craven that the influence of Love cannot inspire him with a courage that makes him equal to the bravest born.”
They sleep with their loved ones, they bathe with them, they eat with them, train with them, stationed next to them in battle … It was a custom, with us a disgrace … Placing your loved one next to you seems to be a sign of weakness, distrust … The Spartans said … make our loved ones such models of perfection that even if stationed with foreigners rather than with their lovers they are ashamed to desert their companion.
I don’t know, but I have never been this brave, maybe in moments, maybe…
Be my lover. Be my partner. Train with me. Fight with me.
1000 miles a way you are standing by my side.
& with your LOVE, OUR love, our courage, we will never lose.
To truly create a new age of love, peace and harmony it is of high importance for us to be able to transcend our particular cultural limitations and to hold in our hearts and souls what we share as spiritual beings in human form.
We are all connected, infinitely and composed of the same ‘stuff’. We need to realize that hurting others only hurts ourselves. We are the beings which represents this transcendence.
