You Must Stay In Concentration

You Must Stay In Concentration

by in General, Mindfulness & Spirituality.

You must stay in concentration. I repeat, You must stay in concentration. No matter what, you must stay in concentration! The devil, Mara, witches, evil, anything outside of you (and often belonging to someone else – i.e. social media and advertising of all kinds) are trying to make you fall away form concentration. You must stay in concentration. You must not drift. You must recognize the temptation and watch it vanish. This is why we become mindful of who we are and what we want. What we want, not what we’re told to want. If we stay in concentration we have open road full of infinite possibilities to all that we desire and …

Compassion Is About Finding The Work That Can Be Done

by in General, Mindfulness & Spirituality.

What can be done? When needed most, and seeming too large to even begin to tackle, stop looking at all that can’t be done, and ask, “what can be done?” Like,. how does one show them self kindness? Can you do that? How does one have some sort of appreciation for their day to day life and struggles? If you’re still approaching your emotions and moments and thoughts like enemies on a battlefield, how will you be able to appreciate their creative play or discover their wisdom? What you’re doing here is simple but it’s not going to be easy. The whole process will work much better if you relax …

Social Anxiety or Social Media?

by in General.

Social Anxiety or Social Media? Is There A Point To Anything That Treats The Symptoms Of Stress While Ignoring Its Root Causes? The two most essential concepts in language – it exist – It doesn’t exist It’s perception. Always has been, always will be…. This is what social media does to us, brings up our anxieties and unnecessary questions like – – How am I doing in this world?  vs his world? Or that world? Or her world? Those social media comparisons of other people’s worlds which don’t exist unless you allow them to become your consciousness, your life, your existence. It’s a choice. That’s their world, not yours. Why Aren't We Happy?

Why Aren’t We Happy?

by in General.

“Wisdom comes through suffering. Trouble, with its memories of pain, Drips in our hearts as we try to sleep, So men against their will Learn to practice moderation. Favours come to us from gods.” – Aeschylus Agamemnon That’s the question. Why aren’t we happy? Because we can’t fathom that happiness and peace that is ever present. That’s what all the scriptures say. We can’t fathom it. Lately, I have been driven by the idea of Sustainable happiness. How do we sustain our happiness to not just come and go. But to stay with us, through it all. How do we not attach a color, look, and feel to what that happiness …

We Are Effecting All The Time

by in General, Mindfulness & Spirituality.

All the time. Everything we do is effecting somethign and everything around us. Not only our actions, but also our thoughts. You can live as you want as long as you don’t harm other people – right? Are you not harming other people? Are your thoughts and simple actions innocent? Inaction … If we persecuted inaction, we’d have no world left. But even that makes a difference, the things you don’t do. We are effecting all the time. Even invisibly effecting. With our whole being. Our whole essence. So what are you doing? Who are you? What are you not doing? This doesn’t mean go out and change the world right now. It …

True Success Lives Inside

True Success Lives Inside

by in General, Mindfulness & Spirituality.

True success lives inside, it has nothing to do with isolated things or attainment. Being successful as a total person, attaining a successful lifestyle that benefits not only yourself but everyone around you, that is success. Little-self needs more success, as it can go away any minute. Big-self is humble and grateful for success knowing that they are not better than anyone but more fortunate than others. Success then becomes a gift for which we are thankful. Our success then becomes a stewardship, a responsibility to exercise influence for the greatest benefit of all. Solid confidence comes from the knowing that the source of success is already within. That A …

Out of The Rubble

by in General, Mindfulness & Spirituality.

Out of the rubble comes something beautiful.  Well earned and well deserved. There will always be rubble. There will always be hard times. There will always be adversity. But if we can stay positive, present, and persistent; realize that it’s all a part of the journey of self, then we can flourish! Out of anything we can make something. We are always growing. Your Network Is Your Net Worth

Who do you know? That’s the question. And how were you when you were with them, needy, greedy, seeing how they could serve you. Or open, generous, humble, kind, curious how you could serve them? Meet someone once, and if you vibe, if you connect; trust me, you stay connected. A year, two years from now, if both parties were genuinely open and present the connection remains. What Is Acting?

What Is Acting?

by in General.

Mindfulness and Acting Is what actors do parallel to nonjudgmental awareness of the self? So, what is acting? This is the question. The answers, from a classroom of undergraduate students with varying levels of acting experience were “being”, “doing,” “pretending,” and “behaving truthfully”.  Except none of these can possibly be completely true. Actors have to learn lines. They have to think about their light and their audience. And while they might be behaving truthfully under imaginary circumstances, or “being”, actors cannot behave completely with truth, otherwise no one would ever stage a murder scene for fear of being actually murdered. Cognitively, there’s more going on. This is by no means an easy …

Success Is Simply A Habit

Success Is Simply A Habit

by in General.

A reflex. Success is a reflex of those aligned to successful patterns. – Richard Dawkins “Power vs. Force” It’s quite easy really. Power vs force. Power, true power is subtle energy. Force, all things force will lose their force, will crumble. Force is unmaintainable and easily broken. Power is inherent, it’s built from within. Power is the response to a strong foundation. It’s about aligning yourself to that place, to those things, habits & patterns that keep you plugged in to the current of “success.” Success is simply a reflex of good habits and right patterns. It’s easy because it’s an inner grace, not an outer anything. Easy.   Interested in Mindfulness, Coaching, A …

When We Lose Our Spirit, We Die

When We Lose Our Spirit, We Die

by in General.

When we lose our spirit, we die. We expire from lack of that which inspires. Spirit is life. Spirit is the energy of life itself. Spirit is aliveness. Spirit is the outlet you choose to plug into. You can choose low-energy low frequency or low vibration, or you can choose high. (Now what you can handle is another subject.) When someone has lost their spirit, they become devoid of humanity, love and self-respect. They may even become selfish and violent. When a nation sees that a person has left the spirit of that nation they become an international criminal. Ha, banishment! Be merciful, say “death,” For exile hath more terror …

The Power Of Art Is

The Power Of Art Is

by in General.

The power of art is to see the possible perfection and grace of humanity. The way Michelangelo saw David and the Pietá, with his chisel, he removed the extraneous stone to liberate the perfected image. Art is creating beauty in there disordered jumble of existence. Art and love is man’s greatest gift to himself. There is no art without love. Great artist are thankful for their power, whatever the form, whatever the expression, because they know it is a gift for the good of mankind, and entailing responsibility to others. Beauty has expressed itself in so many different forms in different cultures throughout various periods of time and we have …

We’ll Always Be Moved By The Originals Over The Duplicates

by in General.

By the handcrafted and the handmade, regardless of content, we are drawn to the love and to the work, we can feel it. We’ve tested it- the strengths of subjects who are looking at original art pieces versus reproductions. The subjects have no idea whether what they’re looking at is a reproduction or an original, and every time their looking at an original their strength is higher. Makes me think we should surround ourselves with strength, with things built on work and love, with Art and high-frequency things. Look at the suburbs versus the slums. The rodeo drives versus the drives you don’t go down. An architecturally ugly neighborhood becomes …

What is the Heart of an Artist?

What is the Heart of an Artist?

by in General.

What is the Heart of an Artist? Lifestyledezine is asking this very question with the Positivity Scrolls.  WHAT IS THE HEART OF THE ARTIST? The “Positivity Scrolls” ask this very question. Looking inside the heart of Pairoj Pichetmetakul, a Thai monk turned street artist as he paints large scale portraits of the homeless and displaced. Much of this dialogue is recorded as written text alongside each portrait, which are kept as a continuous large scroll of heavy-grade paper, creating a long form illustrated journal. We seek to know art better, and know our hearts better; is it resolving anything for him or for the world around him? We seek compassion, we …

Before You Do Anything, Get Grounded

by in General, Mindfulness & Spirituality.

Grounded. Like with electrical energy, like with wiring, we’re a running current and so many things are happening at once it’s easy to forget our center. To get grounded is too find or center. To get grounded means to tap into the now. What is happening right here, right now? To remember your breath and your body, and what do you hear? Little things that can all happen in a minute. Take a moment to center yourself. Acknowledge where you are and where you’re heading. How do we retain a calm center when all the structures we have centered our lives around appear to be falling away? Jobs and careers are disappearing …
