Fear begets fear. Peace begets peace. It’s not more complicated than that. We need solutions, I need you to share with me solutions, a monkey can point out a problem, pointing out the problem isn’t hard.
I need artist and thinkers who are brave and resourceful enough to explore the front tears of beauty and truth and joy and compassion. Not zombies and crumbling and devastation and apocalypse and the end of the world. Less bitching on the old world and more imagining the New World.
We must begin to organize and rally around March is that praise the solutions and the good things happening.
All this focus on what’s wrong, all this attention given to what isn’t working is the easier choice. It is far easier to say what is wrong with the person then what is right with them – I don’t know why this is, but I know that the latter needs training. That we must train ourselves to see potential and joy and beauty and possibilities.
Show me what’s right with the world. Rally me around that, rally me around the rightness of a thing, something that I can continue to help foster and grow into something even more beautiful.
That is far more powerful than all this talk about the things we want to bring an end to, all this talk about the death of a thing.
Only a teacher of peace can bring peace. Bring me peace.
